Getting Started
Creating an account is easy! Click the "Get Started" button, enter your phone number, and verify it with the OTP sent to you. Then complete your profile by adding your name, location, and role (client or provider).
You can browse providers by category, search for specific skills, or post a job and let providers come to you. Use filters to narrow down by location, ratings, and price range.
Sign up and select "Provider" as your role. Complete your profile with your skills, experience, portfolio items, and set your rates. Complete the verification process to earn trust badges and start receiving job requests.
Payments
When you hire a provider, your payment is held securely in escrow. The provider completes the work, and once you approve it, the funds are released. If there's a dispute, our team will help mediate.
We accept bank transfers, debit/credit cards (Visa, Mastercard), and mobile money. All transactions are processed securely through our payment partners.
Once work is approved by the client, funds are released to your SkillDesk wallet. You can withdraw to your bank account at any time. Withdrawals are typically processed within 24 hours.
Trust & Safety
Providers go through a multi-step verification process including phone verification, government ID verification, and skill assessment. Some categories require additional background checks. Look for verification badges on profiles.
If you can't resolve an issue directly, you can open a dispute through the platform. Our support team will review the case, gather evidence from both parties, and make a fair decision. Funds in escrow are protected during the dispute process.
If you notice any suspicious activity, scams, or policy violations, please report it immediately through the "Report" button on profiles or messages. You can also contact our trust and safety team directly at safety@skilldesk.ng.
